The 4th International Circular Packaging Conference took place from 16 to 17 October 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, organized by Pulp and Paper Institute and Faculty of Polymer Technology.
With nearly 40 presentations from researchers and institutions across Europe and beyond, the conference highlighted how science and industry can work together to accelerate progress. The main goals were to share knowledge, good practices, and ideas, and to make new connections in the transformation from a linear to a circular packaging supply chain.
A key takeaway from the conference: In circular packaging, there is no winning material or universal approach; success relies on making informed decisions that carefully consider the full range of technical, economic, and environmental factors.
